Monsta Agent and Probe
In addition to traditional network device monitoring, Monsta features two components that expand its information-gathering capabilities: the Agent and the Probe.
While both are related to monitoring, they have different objectives.
The Probe is a component used to collect detailed information from Windows computers and servers.
With it, Monsta can track operating system metrics, such as resource utilization, service status, and other important information for environment monitoring.
Its focus is on individual monitoring of Windows machines.
To install the Monsta Probe, visit our Downloads area or see the article Probe: Windows Monitoring.
The Agent is a component created to connect remote networks to Monsta.
It allows devices located in branches, offices, or other locations to be monitored by the central monitoring environment, facilitating the administration of distributed infrastructures.
Its focus is on expanding monitoring reach beyond the local network where Monsta is installed.
